Hand Sewn Vase No. 1

A unique vase to brighten any space! It's all in the details with this one.

Each vase is hand-built with a speckled stoneware clay. The texture is rolled onto clay before hand-building, and the vase exterior is hand-painted before the first firing. Some of the raw clay is left exposed to highlight the beauty of the clay and create a variety of textures on glazed and unglazed surfaces. After the final glaze firing, embroidery thread is sewn through rows of holes in the top of the vase.

Care: Sewn vases can carry water and should be gently hand washed only. 

All pieces are handmade, one at a time which means that individual items are unique. Brushstroke textures and surface irregularities reflect its handmade nature.
